The late 90’s and early 2000’s, despite having a horde of undesirable nu-metal acts thrown into the works did in fact present a few artists of higher caliber which managed to stand out from the mesh of stale talent that dominated the scene. One such band was L.A. based Onesidezero whose no nonsense approach to solid structured songwriting has kept them in the fold for nearly a decade now. Having spent time working on different side projects over the past few years the guys have at last reconvened to release their sophomore effort and subsequent follow up to their successful debut Is This Room Getting Smaller titled simply Onesidezero. No strangers to the business they have definitely been around the block a few times and survived countless months of grueling and relentless touring with just about ever band under the sun as well as the loss of their record label and the parting of ways from their former guitar player Brent ???? Now with a refocused outlook on their career the band continues to push forward taking their musical prowess to new levels and deeper dimensions. The band, who have become good friends of ours here at On Track over the years recently allowed me the extreme pleasure of speaking with them in regard to their new CD and their ability to hold it together after all this time when so many of their peers fell by the wayside.
