Before the current trend of female fronted Metal bands became so popular there was Dutch act After Forever. In many ways they were the beginning of it all. It surprises me to tell you the truth that despite their having a much longer tenure than just about any of their peers in this particular genre, they didn’t garner the attention of the mainstream world and were more or less overlooked. I personally attributed this to inferior marketing and publicity on part of the record label. To get to the heart of the matter as well as discuss the bands latest self-titled release, their U.S live debut and past to present struggles with the bands former guitarist Mark Jansen (presently of the band Epica) I had the immense pleasure of speaking with frontwoman Floor Jansen when they recently visited L.A. for a series of publicity related matters.
