Cage Hell Destroyer DA Records At long last the wait is over and
mega Power Metaler’s Cage have released their most triumphant and
ambitious offering to date via the in-depth concept album Hell Destroyer. Crammed
full of raging speed, vicious riffing, a tidal wave of soaring melodies and rip
your heart out vocal lines this album scores a top ten in virtually every
capacity. The band are no doubt primed to be ultra heavy contenders throughout
the coming year. Tapping once again the talents of
producer Richard Carr who produced their 2003 masterpiece Darker Than Black
the bands metallic fury is made all the more evident by their use of more
traditional recording methods and the sound obtained for Hell Destroyer
truly sets them apart from their modern day contemporaries. The concept is without

has ever attempted and as far as apocalyptic themes go there can’t be much else
said that he hasn’t covered here. Now in my reading I see this as more of a
sci-fi integration than a spiritually or historically accurate description. So
for those of you who might think that this has some sort of Christian like
message think again, it may have spiritual overtones but is deeply rooted in
fantasy as well. Strong selections found here include
the album opener and title track as well as stellar cuts like “Christ Hammer”, ”Rise of the Beast”,
“Legion of Demons”, and “Metal Devil”. Being a decisively NWOBHM influenced
band Cage are quite possibly the most Metal band alive in the -Priest |
