Youth is king! At least when it comes to the gut wrenching
assailants of Hackneyed, Germany’s youngest Death Metal export
(perhaps the world). With an average age of sixteen it will be very interesting
to see where these kids end up in a few years as they definitely have the
potential of becoming much more than they are. Already comparisons are being
made to the likes of such legendary bands as Morbid Angel and Cannibal
Corpse. Once again we find a band who has a penchant for recapturing the
past with a fresh perspective on the future. Guttural blasts and intensely
driven riffing make up the bulk of the aptly titled album - Death Prevails. Later to all the emo
screamo crap that has become so prevalent in recent years, hopefully the youth
of the world will take notice of their superiorly gifted peers and lay aside
their homo erogenous ways and return to the unmistakably powerful force of true
Metal. Choice cuts include “Gut Candy”, Worlds Collide” and "Symphony of Death”
