Norway’s Dimmu Borgir have managed to achieve leadership status within the modern Black Metal movement having more than paid their dues since their inception in 1993. While some of their fans have shunned them for evolving into the successful entity that they have now become, there are far more who continue to embrace their music in all its un-holy perfection. Recently I had the immense pleasure of once again sitting down with guitarist and founding member Silenoz to discuss the bands latest accomplishments, as well as the curse that they insist resides over them. Curse or no curse they seem to hit adversity head on and regardless of the revolving door of drummers they have plowed through, the recent defect in their live DVD or any other obstacle that seems to stand in their way, they continue to hold their own nevertheless.
