In what turned out to be an extremely laid back yet informative interview, I sat down with Moonspell members Miguel Gaspar and Ricardo Amorim to discuss their inclusion on this year’s Blackest of the Black Tour which is helmed by former Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig as well as their latest release Night Eternal. From the moment we sat down on the buss, cracked open a beer and began with a bit of small talk between the guys and a special guest they had on board (Jasmine St.Claire) I felt extremely welcomed and amongst friends. I also during this interview sought to gain and a bit more insight into the Portuguese culture from where they stem and as fate would have it, this was a seminal event for me as I have only spoken with frontman Fernando Ribeiro in the past and I was truly hoping to acquire some new perspective into this severely talented band. I believe that I was successful in not only gaining perspective from the other members about their band and culture but how they view their lead vocalist as well. As the conversation progressed I was completely astounded at the intelligence and genuine passion that these guys exude both in their musical and non musical lifestyles. They have become one of my favorite bands in existence today and I wish them all the best of luck. Check it out!
