Perhaps the single most uncompromising Metal band on the scene today comes by way of legendary thrashers Slayer, who have for nearly three decades wielded their special blend of diabolical aggression and bludgeoning mayhem. It is no doubt fitting then that they would be pegged to headline this years Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest. With a new album in the works, another new generation of Slayer fans on the rise and a failure is not an option attitude to boot I felt it was once again time to catch up on all the latest happenings with the worlds most respected thrash mongers. Check out the interview below where I managed to score some quality time with frontman Tom Araya backstage at the L.A. stop of the Mayhem fest.
