Evergrey - Glorious Return!
Interview By: David Priest © 2011 On Track Magazine.com In an extremely bold move even by Metal's ever unpredictable standards melodic Metal enthusiasts Evergrey opted
to part ways with the majority of their line up in 2010 leaving only keyboardist Rikard Zander and founding member vocalist/guitarist Tom S. Englund to carry on
the bands legacy. Surprisingly enough this seems to be just what Evergreyneeded to recapture the magic of their early material and subsequently their latest
arrival has been received with a tremendous amount of praise. Much more than either of the bands last two studio efforts. Most definitely a darker path to follow
the new CD chronicles the demise of the former line up and brings new hope for the future of the band. Aptly titled, Glorious Collision is a welcome change
of direction for these exceptional musicians and I recently was given the charge to get the inside track on what transpired with the bands line up change and
refreshed perspective on their new CD. Speaking with Tom S. Englund much was revealed in regard to this occurrence along with a definitive outlook on what is
to come for Evergrey in the near future |
