Sweden's Blindside have inked a
deal with DRT Entertainment. The band is currently in the studio working on
their as-yet-untitled new album, expected out this summer. Lasse
"Lars" Marten, who produced the band's debut, is back on board and
working with the band at Decibel Studios in "Blindside" (1997), will
feature original demos of "Superman", "Liberty",
"Forgiven" and "Stolen", previously only available as a
limited edition released only in Stockholm in 1996. "A Thought Crushed My
Mind", originally released in 2000, will include two songs only available
on 7" vinyl, "Knocking On Another Door"
and "All You Need Is", as well as the never-before-released tracks
"Desert Flower" and " "We were supposed to go all the
way with our own label and release the new record ourselves when DRT showed
up," says Blindside’s Tomas Naslund. "They were genuinely interested in the band
and had the knowledge that we did not. It seemed like the perfect match and we
are excited to work with them." Adds Simon Grenehed,

back to us, and even flew out to "We are absolutely ecstatic to
have a band of Blindside’s caliber on
