Led Zeppelin Push Back Reunion Concert Posted By: David Priest, Editor In Chief November 7th, 2007
The heavily anticipated reunion of
the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, scheduled for November 26 at the
O2 Arena in Page has released the following
statement regarding the matter: "As you all know by now I was
regrettably put in a situation where I had to postpone my performance at the Ahmet Ertegun benefit show, on
November 26th, due to a fractured finger. "We have now rescheduled this
show to take place, at the same venue, on December 10th. "In doing so I was very
conscious of the fact that many people are traveling great distances to attend.
I do want to let everyone know that this decision was unavoidable. My apologies to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this change.” "I would also like to thank
everyone else involved for their help with making this change. Harvey
Goldsmith, the trustees of the Ahmet Ertegun Foundation and, of course, the other artists who so
willingly agreed to join us on the show. "I look forward to the 10th
December!" All tickets for the show, which were
sold through a worldwide lottery, will be valid for the rescheduled date. Anyone unable to attend the show on
December 10 will be able to receive a full refund until The show will feature Page, singer
Robert Plant and bassist John Paul Jones performing together for the first time
in 18 years, with Jason Bonham, son of late Zeppelin drummer John
Bonham, sitting behind the kit. Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, Paul
Rodgers, Paolo Nutini, and Foreigner are also
scheduled to appear. Rumors continue to circulate that a
full Led Zeppelin tour is in the works for 2008, although the band has
remained ambivalent about any future plans. |
