Cinderella In Concert Dead Line It always brings me great pleasure
to get a hold of live concert footage from those metal artists who once ruled
the world during the 1980’s hey day of rock supremacy. Call me nostalgic if you
must, but discovering lost treasures such as the recently released DVD Cinderella
– In Concert is, in my book, worth ten videos of anything new on the
market. These guys were professional showmen at their absolute best and offered
fans a genuine opportunity to escape the dismal constraints of everyday life
and thoroughly indulge themselves in the authentic understanding of a true Rock
N’ Roll concert experience. The visual representation of Cinderella’s
performance matched equally the high energy impact of their blues-rock inspired
music, and to this day they remain one of the most remembered heavyweights of
their era. Professionally shot during the band’s
Heartbreak Station tour in 1991, Cinderella performed a
staggering no-holds-barred extravaganza that captures the band at their very
best. For fans this presentation marks a pinnacle point in the history of rock
and reminds all of us exactly why we loved this period of time so insatiably. Covering
songs from all three of their full-length LPs up to this point the guys
delivered a full-blown look into the art and passion of their music. From a
production standpoint, this DVD is not the picture perfect ensemble that most
would hope for, but remember, it was shot more than a decade ago. Still, the
sound does tend to come across as a little thin and the lighting, in conjunction
with the camera angles, sometimes overexpose the band. Some may find the
constant background noise of the crowd to be an annoyance, but it does add to
the live feel of the overall package. Nevertheless, this is a very cool video
to own and fans of Cinderella will be appreciative that we finally have
a live show from the guys after all these years. Cinderella – In Concert is presented in
both 5.1 Surround Sound and 2.1 Stereo. Additional features include a musical
slide show. Song favorites include “ -Priest |
