Heaven & Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall Rhino Heaven & Hell, the newly formed group consisting
of guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler,
vocalist Ronnie James Dio and drummer Vinny Apiece otherwise know as Black Sabbath have at long last released their first ever live
concert DVD to the praise and admiration of fans around the globe. Filmed From the opening chords of “E5150” which bleeds directly
into “After All (The Dead)” it is immediately evident that this is a very high
quality video production. The lighting was intense and with the stellar “5.1
Surround Sound” if you crank it loud enough it’s almost like being there, well
in spirit anyways. The guys played beautifully not missing a note a beat or
otherwise the entire performance. It is easy to see why Tony Iommi is still one of the most respected Metal guitarists
of all time and Ronnie James Dio is nothing short of
amazing in his stellar vocal delivery. While they did play a nice well rounded two
hour set and I am pretty happy with their song selections there are a number of
other tunes that I would have loved to have seen performed here. I’m sure I’m
not alone in my thinking either as the desire for more at the shows end was
imminently felt without challenge. All in all this is a great piece of Metal history to add to
